THE SAINTS REGATTA February 2023

A stage of the CSA regattas in Guadeloupe

Like the northern islands or the island of Grenada, Guadeloupe has a stage in the regattas of the “Cariblean Sailing Association” (CSA) at their request and with the kindness of the Guadeloupe Region and the Guadeloupe League of Sailing (LGV).

La Banane – Tous Voiles Dehors is organizing a very first edition from February 10 to 13, 2023 in the prestigious setting of Les Saintes.

This event takes place between the week of Grenada and the 600miles of the “Royal Ocean Racing Club” (RORC).

Organizing such an event today, when the week of Antigua, the Heineken Regatta or the Voiles de Saint Barth have existed for years and are part of the landscape of essential races in the Caribbean is a challenge.

Our friend Jean-Michel Marziou with Triskell has repeatedly tried the adventure. We salute the immense work that Jean-Michel has done for sailing in Guadeloupe.

We respond to a wish of the CSA with the support of the governing bodies of Guadeloupe.

This first edition is the prequel to a great adventure intended to be sustained over time.

In a very short time our volunteers mobilized as well as the Town Hall of Terre de Haut and our sponsors to make this first edition a reality.

For this we need everyone, Region, sailors and sailors, sailboat owners. Of course, this is only a first edition created with little means and much too modest communication.

So, you who believe in sailing, Guadeloupeans, Caribbeans, sailors from all countries, come and play on the magnificent body of water at Les Saintes, it will reward you well.
