From February 10 to 13, 2023, the first edition of the Saintes Regatta took place. Skipper Sacha Donar and his Pepsi Max team stood out during these 4 days. They finish victorious in this regatta

Creating a new competition that aims to be international, like the regattas of the Caribbean Islands, such as the Antigua week, the Heineken Regatta, the Voiles de Saint Barth, the Grenada week is not an easy task. You have to find your place, your originality to become essential. From February 10 to 14, the first edition of the Saintes Regatta took place.

It was on this occasion that a dozen boats responded to the event. Among them Rodolphe Sepho with his Diam 24. A sports trimaran. The spectators were able to witness the performance of this boat and discover the skipper’s know-how. The weather conditions were complicated during these four days with strong winds and a few squalls. This caused some breakages for some skippers. However, this in no way disturbed the commitment and the pleasure of these sailors.

A trophy awarded

A magnificent trophy created by Alain Marc Foy was awarded by Mayor Hilaire Brudey to the Pepsi Max boat of the Blueshark association and to the skipper Sacha Daunar. This one is intended to be put into play each year.

The event ended with a special stage during which the skippers “fought” on equal terms. A proof of the excellent atmosphere and the spirit of friendship within the great family of the participants.
